Uber Unveils Personal Airplane Design, Plans Tests in 2022
Uber is planning an on-need fleet of electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) shipping that will roam cities past 2022, the company announced on Tuesday.
The planes are based on an existing design for the Us Section of Defense's X-aeroplane program. Made past Aurora Flight Sciences, the first plane successfully completed a flight test on April 20, and Uber hopes to take l of them by 2022 to exam its Elevate network of on-demand planes.
