Fatal Crash Highway 95 -- Malheur County - 08/12/22
On Wednesday August x, 2022, at about 3:45 PM, Oregon State Police (OSP) Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a ii-vehicle crash on Highway 95 near milepost 59.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Mitsubishi SUV, operated by, Derric Williams, historic period 27, from Fort McDermitt NV, was southbound and for unknown reasons crossed into the on-coming lane. The Mitsubishi SUV crashed into a northbound Peterbilt Semi-truck, operated past Danell Vincent-Moore, age 58, from Lincoln Park, Michigan.
Williams was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel. Vincent-Moore was un-injured in the crash.
Four passengers in the Mitsubishi SUV, two adults and two children, sustained undisclosed injuries and were transported via air ambulance to hospitals in Boice, ID.
Highway 95 was closed for well-nigh 5 (5) hours.
OSP Troopers are continuing the investigation into the cause(s) of the crash.

Fatal Crash Highway 293 -- Wasco County - 08/xi/22
On August 10, 2022, at about half-dozen:thirty PM, Oregon State Constabulary Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a unmarried vehicle crash on Highway 293 near milepost viii.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Chevrolet Cobalt, operated by an unknown adult male, was southbound and for unknown reasons left the roadway going down an embankment where information technology crashed into a tree. The final resting spot of the crash was on private property. The unknown adult male and an unknown adult female rider were declared deceased at the scene by emergency personnel.
The crash was reported to emergency personnel by a landowner who found the vehicle on his property. It is unknown when the crash happened. Information technology was learned that the involved vehicle had been reported stolen earlier in the day from Fossil.

Fatal Crash US 199 -- Josephine County - 08/11/22
On Wednesday August 10, 2022, at nearly 4:55 PM, Oregon State Police (OSP) Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on United states of america 199 almost milepost 6.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a southbound Ford 550 pickup operated by, Robert Clair, age 31, from Grants Laissez passer, crossed the middle line of the highway and struck a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by, Johnny Porter, age 45, from Cave Junction. Porter was ejected from the motorbike and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel. Clair was not injured in the crash.
US 199 was closed for about 1 hour.
OSP was assisted Josephine County Sheriff's Office, ODOT, AMR, Rural Metro Burn down and Grants Pass Fire.

OSP Fish & Wildlife seeking public assistance in identifying the person(south) responsible for killing an antelope- Baker Canton (Photo) - 08/09/22
**UPDATE**
After receiving information from the public, F&Westward Troopers were able to determine this was a legal harvest and the meat was removed from the carcass in accordance with the wildlife laws. The buck antelope was harvested utilizing a Special Qualified Disabled Veteran Tag. Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Partitioning personnel are no longer seeking the public'southward assistance regarding this matter.

On August 5, 2022, OSP Fish & Wildlife Troopers received information from a citizen who found an antelope carcass on BLM property betwixt Female parent Lode Road and Skinner Lane in Keating, OR.
OSP Fish & Wildlife Troopers responded to the scene and found the butchered carcass of an antelope with the head removed. Troopers determined the antelope was likely killed sometime during the offset week of August. In addition to the unlawful take, Troopers also determined meat was left to waste.

OSP Fish and Wild fauna Seeking Public Assistance in Identifying Person(s) responsible for killing a Wolf -- Baker County (Photo) - 08/09/22
The Oregon State Police force Fish & Wildlife Division is seeking the public's assistance in locating the person(due south) responsible for shooting and killing a wolf in the Pino Creek Wildlife Management Unit of measurement.
On August 5, 2022, Fish and Wild fauna Troopers received information from ODFW that a collared wolf, OR112, may exist deceased at a location merely off of Wood Service RD 66, between Twin Lakes and Fish Lake. This location is approximately 7 miles north of Halfway, OR.

Fatal Crash Highway 138W -- Douglas County - 08/09/22

Fatal Crash Highway 126W -- Lane County - 07/30/22
On Thursday July 28, 2022, at about 3:55 PM, Oregon Land Police (OSP) Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a ii-vehicle crash on Highway 126W near Mapleton.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Dodge Ram pickup, operated by Roger Montgomery, age 63, from Veneta, was westbound on Highway 126W making a left turn into the gas station in Mapleton. A Ford Focus, operated by Timothy Cooper, age 24, from Tidewater, was also westbound and rear-ended the Dodge Ram pickup.
Cooper was transported toSacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend and died on July 30, 2022, from his injuries. Two additional occupants in the Ford Focus suffered small-scale injuries.
Montgomery was treated and released for pocket-size injuries at the scene.
Highway 126W was reduced to a single lane for about six hours.

Fatal Crash with Wrong Way Driver -- Umatilla County - 07/30/22
On Friday July 29, 2022, at almost viii:05 PM, Oregon Land Police (OSP) Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a ii-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 most milepost 216.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Dodge 3500 pickup operated by Gabriel Madrid Velasquez, historic period 55, from Kennewick, Washington, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes and collided head on with a Ford Fiesta, operated by Kari Ann Lindeman, age 49, from La Grande.
Lindeman was pronounced deceased at the scene past emergency personnel. Velasquez suffered serious injuries and was flown via life flight to St. Mary'due south Infirmary in Walla Walla.
The westbound lanes were closed for about six hours during the investigation.

Fatal Crash State Route 140- Klamath Canton - 07/29/22
On Friday, July 29, 2022, at approximately 2:xiii A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on State Route 140 near milepost 49.
A Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on State Road 140 when it struck a tow truck operator, who was outside of his tow truck retrieving a vehicle from the side of the highway. The tow truck operator, identified as Spencer Hughes (32) of Klamath Falls, was transported by ambulance simply died en route.
The investigation is ongoing.

On Fri, July 29, 2022, at approximately 12:02 A.Chiliad., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a unmarried-vehicle crash on Interstate v near milepost 229.
A pedestrian entered the lane of travel on Interstate-five and was struck by a Toyota van operated past Poblano Lopez (39) of Lynnwood, WA. on I5 southbound near milepost 229.
The pedestrian, identified as Charles Dwayne Hatfield (45) of Salem, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The operator of the van remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

Multi-agency pursuit ends in suspect abort- Columbia County (Photo) - 07/28/22
On July 28, 2022, at approximately 11:42 AM, Troopers from the Oregon Land Law St. Helens worksite responded to the report of a reckless driver on Highway 30 milepost 28. It was reported that the offending driver was "all over the route" in a silver rider car. The reporting party provided a description of the offending vehicle, which was later identified as a silver 2003 Buick Regal 4-dr. Troopers located the suspected vehicle only quickly lost sight of it within the City of St. Helens. A short time after, the suspected vehicle was relocated by Troopers and observed to have dangerous driving behavior. Troopers initiated a traffic stop on the silver Buick most the McDonalds in St. Helens. The silver Buick fled, and a pursuit ensued eastbound toward Scappoose. The doubtable fled to approximately milepost 26.5 and then turned westbound back to St. Helens. The doubtable then fled westbound through St. Helens, Columbia City, and finally into Rainier. The driver, who was the sole occupant, was observed driving dangerously and intentionally over-taking vehicles head-on, collection at varying speeds, and was unable to drive within his ain lane.
The suspect collection then dangerously that Troopers discontinued pursuing. The law afterwards located the suspected vehicle in Rainier. When the suspect vehicle was located it was parked and unoccupied.
A containment perimeter was established, and a coordinated search ensued. Meanwhile, information was collected from bureau partners regarding the suspected driver's identity.

OSP Southwest Region Drug Enforcement Team Makes Illegal Marijuana Bust-Josephine County (Photo) - 07/28/22
On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the Oregon State Constabulary's Southwest Region Drug Enforcement Section team served an illegal marijuana search warrant in the 1600 block of Southside Rd. Grants Pass, Josephine County.

On July 13, 2022, at approximately 9:00 P.M. OSP responded to Hwy 18 milepost 15 in Polk County to a report of a shooting.
Preliminary investigation revealed the shooting was the result of a suspected route rage incident, in which the victim pulled over and stopped to permit the suspect vehicle pass. The doubtable vehicle stopped next to the victim, the victim got out of his car, and multiple shots were fired from the doubtable vehicle. The shots are reported to be fired by the passenger of the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle then left the scene.
The victim was declared dead at the scene. A passenger in the motorcar was not injured. The passenger described the doubtable vehicle and the passenger of the suspect vehicle. The description of the machine is a blackness car with a round emblem on the hood. The description of the passenger in the suspect car was a younger male, less than 25 years one-time, medium complexion, and small in stature with brusque nighttime hair.

On July 18, 2022, the Oregon Land Police responded to a report of a hit and run crash involving a bicyclist that occurred on U.Southward. Highway 199-mile post 27, just south of Kerby, Oregon. The crash occurred sometime between the late evening hours of July 17, or the early morn hours of July 18. The victim was discovered in a ditch by another person at which time emergency services were notified and responded. The victim suffered severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
